Typical Hip-Hop Conventions: Black Rapper, Stereo,
Outside of Conventions: Uses typical indie conventions such as transitions

The props used in this video are easily accessible becasue they do not cost a lot of money. This is due to the fact that their music video was on a strict budget too and so we can relate to that as much of props seen we could use. These props include: Trumpet, Mugs, Football, Stereo.

The effects used in this music video would not be difficult to immatate because they did not cost a lot of money and we have software that is capable of performing the same end results. These effects include: Slow Motion, Transitions using falling. The slow motion could be achieved using Adobe After Effects CS5 and using a plugin call Twixtor Pro. This would allow us to set the speed of what we want the clip to play at.

Use of clothes do not follow usual hip hop music video conventions because their clothes are not fancy they are just usual casual t-shirts. These clothes could be considered "Chavy" which would suit the usual stereotype of people who listen to the hip hop genre, however very expensive designer clothes are usualy seen in hip hop music videos and so this goes outside of the typical conventions.

This transition is very clever as it shows the character falling down from using his trumpet and is then shown getting up in a different location to where he fell. This is very effective as it a very smooth motion and so confuses the viewer into what just happened.

Kanye West - Good Life Music Video Analysis

Music Video Link: http://www.kovideo.net/good-life-video-kanye-west-454291.html

Typical Hip-Hop Music Video Conventions: Women, Black Rapper, Money, Cars, Champagne,

Outside of Conventions: Text up on screen, Cartoon style effects,

The clothes seen in this video show typical Hip Hop Music Video Conventions as they are all designer and expensive clothes. This would be inaccessible for us as we cannot afford the expensive designer clothes for our music video.

The props used in this video would be inaccessible for us to use becasue they are too expensive. These include: very hot girl!, fast car, champagne and lots of money. The props listed show typical Hip Hop Music Video conventions because they are often used by artists in their music videos associated with this genre.

High budget allows Kanye West to use effects that are inaccessible to us becuase we do not have the ability to use these effects.
The effect seen here shows how we can use effects that are performed in the music video due to budget restrictions.

Good comparison has kanye west is in a grayscale colour correction and the text and images around him are colourful which gives a vivid contrast.

This printscreen shows how text is used well for the lyrics. This use of text could easily be achieved by us by using Adobe After Effects CS5 and Sony Vegas Pro by creating the text to move and pop up in time with the lyrics being said.
